With these types of vehicle a traditional service is not usually applicable, as the items replaced during a service, such as spark plugs and an oil change, do not exist on an electric vehicle. Some repairs on these type of vehicles require the high voltage system to be shutdown for safety reasons to remove certain components to gain access which can only be carried out by an authorised person with the correct equipment.
